Return of the Blogger- Due Date
When you think Robert Downey Jr(Iron man) and Zach Galifianakis (yes the fat jesus guy from Hangover) staring together in a movie you think its gonna be a high action comedy probably two of them been cops essentially but when i went for the Due date it was not at all what i had expected. The two actors are both known for the versatility and for been true to their identities characters. Our dear Iron man been the pompous over powering actor who gulps up screen time and Our hangover man been the ultimate no hold barred pea brained comic relief without any sort of sense what he's upto. Usually such big combinations end up been a bust on your face but director Todd Phillips somehow has managed to find the perfect balance between humour and Drama in this wonderful movie.
Here's a short synopsis to set your dates right-
Peter Highman is an expectant first-time father whose wife's due date is a mere five days away. As Peter hurries to catch a flight home from Atlanta to be at her side for the birth, his best intentions go completely awry when a chance encounter with aspiring actor Ethan Tremblay forces Peter to hitch a ride with Ethan--on what turns out to be a cross-country road trip that will ultimately destroy several cars, numerous friendships and Peter's last nerve.
Peter played by Robert Downing essentially represents the modern man or the adult in the movie , always worried about commitments and work and what not and Ethan played by Zach represents the child within all of us innocent hopeful and having great expectations from the world around him. Both of them together make a great pair in this comedy with a touching message at the end . The best scene can be traced to their Plane conversation which gets them put on the no fly list. This movies packs enough Humour, Drama and storyline to get you through the toughest of your days.
